Undergraduate Studies
The undergraduate degree programs in the School of Social and Family Dynamics at Arizona State University provide two distinct majors and one collaborative, well-rounded learning experience. Students not only study the historical, theoretical, and academic frameworks used to explain social and family behavior, but also acquire practical knowledge and skills that can be applied in their daily lives and occupations.
Advising
We take advising seriously, Students are encouraged to meet regularly with an advisor to help plan their course of study or if they are facing difficulties in their classes.
Our advisors can assist students in identifying and choosing classes that meet their academic needs and personal interests while allowing them to graduate in a timely manner. They also help students negotiate the university labyrinth and complete the forms necessary for graduation, as well as learn about services available on campus. In short, our advisors can make a large university like ASU seem smaller and more personal. Best of all...advising is FREE.
To students in our ONLINE programs: We have special resources for our online students, including a dedicated online advisor. If you would like advising, please schedule an appointment with Ellie Wouda-Preciado.
You can find additional resources for online students in our SSFD Blackboard Organization (click on "Online Students"). Learn how to access our blackboard site.
