| SSFD Awarded Seal of Approval for Gender Equity | The Sociologists for Women in Society (SWS) has recognized the School of Social and Family Dynamics as a gender-friendly department. The SWS awards the Seal of Approval for Gender Equity to departments whose faculty consists of at least 40% women and, thus, recognizes "departments that excel in creating a climate that is welcoming to women and gender scholars." |

| Recognition Fellowship Awards | Each year, the School of Social and Family Dynamics (SSFD) recognizes outstanding graduate students by awarding fellowships to continuing graduate students whose work and efforts represented the highest levels of service, commitment and innovation. To do this, we have created two types of awards: (1) Engagement Fellowship Award, and (2) Innovation Research Award. |
